Identifying the socioeconomic growth points of Belarus’s municipalities Client: UNDP (United Nations Development Programme) Industry: International organization Service: Market Research and Data Analytics Hours invested: 3,120 Description: Civitta surveyed the leaders of several municipalities in Belarus to identify and analyse socio-economic problems. The research was used to determine growth points based on the views of local communities and to perform capacity assessments. The extended survey, conducted in rural and urban areas throughout the country, included 3,540 interviews. The study covered the main aspects of regional economic development in sports and recreation, tourism, social infrastructure, education, and health care. Civitta’s team defined key actors and factors contributing to social change and assessed whether local communities were equipped to successfully engage in independent, locallevel problem solving. Results: • Civitta’s researchers identified obstacles to development in several of Belarus’s municipalities and defined potential for growth. • Civitta determined growth points for the sustainable development of local municipalities. • Civitta developed an action plan with outlining tasks and responsibilities at the regional level.

PROJECT 2

Improving the operational performance of Dobrada – the Belarus’s largest FMCG distributor Client: Dobrada Industry: FMCG Service: Management consulting Hours invested: 802 Description: Dobrada is the largest FMCG (fast moving consumer goods) distributor in Belarus. Civitta improved Dobrada’s operational performance in procurement, finance, marketing, and sales by providing practical recommendations on how Dobrada could increase its short-term operational efficiency. Civitta also provided fullmarket analysis of and made forecasts for 10 product groups selected from Dobrada’s portfolio. All the recommendations have been quantified in terms of added value to the client and further gathered into the action plan with deadlines and responsible employees assigned. Several effective tools have also been provided or advised to the client. Results: • Civitta delivered extended market analyses of Dobrada’s 10 main product groups together and an analysis of market trends overall. • Civitta guided Dobrada in penning a detailed action plan that outlined Dobrada’s primary initiatives, identified accountable persons, and specified deadlines. • Company received efficient tools aimed at improving its operational performance.
