City students are determined to sharpen the struggle against the ilm 'Nanak Shah Fakir' Ludhiana (City Vibes) April 11: The issue of controversial film 'Nanak Shah Fakir' is continuously being intensified. The protests in the young and students section are becoming more and more formidable. Following the problem, the discussion has prevailed. Demanding district administration on Tuesday after giving the letter, a special discussion session was held in the Punjab Agricultural University here today, against the film, while the students' council of Guru Nanak Engineer College, Ludhiana, took out a peaceful protest march carrying posters having slogans against the issue in their hands. Students attending the session held at Agriculture University talked of speeding up the action against the film. Meanwhile, Harmandeep Singh put light on Sikh traditions, customs and propaganda. . Harkirat Singh, alleged Harinder Sikka for disobeying the orders of Shri Akal Takht Sahib, as he declined to accept the Hukamnama issued by Sikh Supreme body. In the session, Arshdeep Singh accused the film of getting government supremacy and also questioned Akshay Kumar's interference in Sikh affairs. Filmmaker Viacom 18 is Mukesh Ambani's company. It has to be said that Mukesh Ambani and Akshay Kumar both close relationship with Indian Prime Minister. Along with this, the students have expressed their displeasure over the Indian Supreme Court's decision about this movie, now they are footing on the review petition filed by Shri Akal Takht.

This culture can either create a sense of mutual purpose, a mission, a vision, values and goals or perpetrate discord. Every school has a culture whether you work on the culture or not. Culture cannot be seen but it is there. It is an important aspect of school. Culture consists of the beliefs, feelings, behaviors, and symbols characteristic of an organization. More specifically, culture is defined as shared philosophies, ideologies, beliefs, feels, expectations, assumptions, attitudes, norms and values. While there is considerable variation in the definitions of a school culture, it appears that most contain the following characteristics: Feelings: An overall atmosphere is conveyed in an organization by the physical layout and the way in which members interact with clients or other outsiders. Rules: guidelines exist for getting along in the organization, or what is needed to be learned by the newcomer in order to “fit in”. Philosophy: Policies guide an organization’s beliefs about how employees and clients should be treated. Most districts and schools have statements of philosophy or mission statements. Dominant Values: An organization espouses and expects its members to share major values. Typical examples in schools are

high-performance levels of faculty and students, low absence and dropout rates and high efficiency and effectiveness. Norms: Standards of behavior evolve in work groups. The impact of work group behavior results in standards and yardsticks that are sanctioned by group norms. Observed Behavioral Regularities: When organizational members interact, they use common language, terminology, rituals, and ceremonies related to deference and dem-eanor. None of these characteristics by itself represent the essence of culture, but collectively they reflect and give meaning to the concept of culture. The culture of a school is interrelated with most other concepts in managing schools, including organizational structures, motivation, leadership, decision making, communication and change. The challenge for the principal is to create a culture that is moving the school forward toward its vision and reinforcing the behaviors necessary for school improvement. The principal-. As developer of culture, is a support and visionary. He/she provides the leadership that is necessary to take the school to the next level. Blake and Mouton, in several of their books talk about Task and People and how to have a good balance of work (eye on the school goals) and employees (caring) to move the school onward and upward. To develop this culture for

the vision that has been created, this existing culture must be identified. The expectations diagnosed should be utilized to identify what the faculty values and expects in terms of attitudes, behaviors, and commitments. It is difficult to develop a plan to achieve a new culture if you have not identified the old one. In a high performing school, the principal works with all stakeholders to develop the culture. The expectations diagnosis is a great tool for involving everyone. Developing a school’s culture is a conscious endeavor, and a principal must be proactive as he/she go about doing so. The principal begins by having people articulate in very specific terms the kinds of behaviors and commitments they think are necessary to move their school forward. This is a challenge, for every school faces the issue of developing a positive school culture. In developing a positive culture, the principal should ask, what are our expectations, attitudes, behaviors, and commitments must we demonstrate for our vision to be realized? Are we clear on what is to be accomplished and the criteria we will use in assessing our efforts? Are the current policies, programs, procedures, and practices of our school congruent with our stated vision and values? What are our plans to replace discrepancies?

Rajinder Sharma, Director, Everest group of schools was the chief guest on this occasion. A fancy dress competition was organised on this occasion. The students presented a bright & colourful programme on this occasion. They presented folk dances and folk songs. Students came in the traditional punjabi dresses and perform gidda & bangra. They were also told about the various aspects of rural punjab, its cultural heritage. Speaking on the occasion Rajinder Sharma said that school has played a significant role in the development of the children, particularly in spreading education among the tiny-tots

Since the Divis ional Commissioner Patiala failed to redress the grievance, the parents filed a complaint to the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR), Delhi. The NCPCR directed to the Divisional Commissioner Patiala to ensure education of the students till the decision is made and report compliance within 7 days. But Divisional Commissioner Patiala did not act. This matter had been duly brought to the notice of Commissioner of Police Ludhiana.

Punjabi Recipes Amritsari aloo kulcha Ingredients

First covering 2 cups refined flour (maida) ½ tsp baking powder ¼ tsp soda bicarbonate Salt to taste 1 tbsp yogurt ½ egg ½ cup milk 1 tsp sugar 1 tbsp oil Second covering 2 cups refined flour (maida) Salt to taste 4 tbsps butter ½ cup milk Stuffing 2 medium sized potatoes (boiled and grated) ½ medium sized onion (chopped) Salt to taste 2 green chillies (chopped) ½ tbsp red chilli powder 1 tbsp cumin powder 1 tsp pomegranate seeds (anardana) ¼ cup fresh coriander leaves (chopped) Preperation First covering Sieve flour with baking powder, soda bicarbonate and salt. Add yogurt, egg, milk, sugar and sufficient water. Knead well into a medium soft dough. Apply a little oil and knead it further. Keep it covered with a damp muslin cloth for one hour. Knead the dough once again and divide into six to eight equal portions. Second covering Sieve refined flour with salt. Rub in butter till it becomes crumbly. Gradually mix in the milk and knead to make a soft and smooth dough. Cover with a damp muslin cloth and rest the dough for 10 minutes. Knead the dough once again and divide into six to eight

equal portions and form them into smooth balls. Cover with the damp cloth and rest for another ten minutes.

Stuffing Mix boiled grated potatoes, chopped onion, salt, green chillies, red chilli powder, cumin powder, anardana and chopped coriander leaves. Mix with hands.Divide the potato mixture into six to eight equal portions and keep aside. Flatten a portion of the first dough, place a portion of the potato mixture in the centre and fold the dough over to form a ball. Flatten a portion of the second dough and place the stuffed ball in the centre and fold to form a ball. Place this on a lightly floured surface and roll gently into a disc. Heat a pressure cooker. Rub a wet hand on one side of the kulcha, gently stick the dampened side to the inner wall of the pressure cooker. Take care to apply enough water while sticking the kulcha. Place the cooker over the flame upside down so that the open end is towards the flame. Cook on high heat for two to three minutes then reduce the heat and cook for two to three minutes more. Straighten the cooker and gently dislodge the kulcha from the cooker wall. Brush the hot kulcha with butter and serve immediately. Alternatively, you can also cook in a preheated convection oven at 220°C for about eight minutes.

CWG 2018: Anish Bhanwala, 15, India’s youngest Commonwealth Games medallist

Anish Bhanwala broke Games record on Friday as he earned a gold medal in the Men’s 25m Rapid Fire Pistol to take India’s medal tally to 34 on Day 9 of Common wealth Games 2018 in Gold Coast, Australia. With the feat, the 15year old became the youngest medallist for India in the history of CWG. The teenager shot a score of 30/40 in the final after topping qualification to give India 16th gold medal, surpassing Glasgow CWG 2014

Punia, silver medal winner at CWG 2018, GOLD COAST: The shadow of controversy could be trailing her everywhere but Seema Punia still shines through it all. On Thursday, she became India’s most decorated athlete in the Common wealth Games. The 34-year-old, who began with a silver in the 2006 Games in Melbourne, bagged her third silver in what could be her final Commonwealth Games to take her collection to four. The other medals - a bronze and silver came in 2010 and 2014. The Indian, who went into the meet after some solid preparation on foreign shores, straightaway jumped into the lead as her heave landed at 60.41m. The response from defending champion Dani Stevens of Australia, who bagged a bronze behind Punia in 2006, was immediate as she snatched the lead with a throw of 61.39. We train and throw ourselves,” Punia said. “I’ll be around only till 2020 and I hope I can give my best in these two years. After that my body won’t allow me to compete,” Punia said.
