AT A GLANCE

There has never been a more challenging and exciting time to work in health and social care in the UK. This course is designed to help overseas students meet these challenges and aims to support and facilitate recruitment at a time when there is a national shortage of qualified nurses in the UK. The programme is approved by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and is suitable for overseas qualified nurses who wish to register with the NMC as a professional nurse. The University has a forward-thinking approach to learning, practice and research, and we provide high quality interprofessional and discipline-specific education that develops professional thinking and skills. Supported by a team of experienced educators and clinicians, students will gain enormously from learning within a group and sharing information across professional roles and experiences. The programme will provide nurses with the opportunity to build clinical skills and awareness of the UK Health Service through either a three or six month attachment within a hospital or nursing home setting.
