Public Works Wastewater Operator Eliseo Sauceda has reached a significant milestone by earning a Double ‘A’ License. This prestigious accomplishment places him among the distinguished ranks of Texas water operators and showcases his dedication and expertise in the field.
In Texas, water operators must be licensed by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality to operate water and wastewater treatment facilities. Achieving a Double ‘A’ License is a testament to an operator’s water and wastewater treatment proficiency. This license signifies comprehensive knowledge in critical areas, including regulatory compliance, safety procedures, equipment operation, chemical treatment processes, and environmental protection measures.
Eliseo’s achievement reflects his commitment to maintaining the highest standards in water management and ensuring the safety and quality of our community’s water resources. His expertise enhances our operations and underscores Public Works’ dedication to environmental stewardship and public health.
The Public Works Department has recently added a valuable asset to its arsenal: a bucket lift. This versatile piece of equipment promises to streamline operations and improve efficiency for the Public Works crew. One of the bucket lift’s primary benefits is its ability to expedite quick jobs. Instead of deploying a cumbersome man lift, which could take at least 30 minutes or longer due to its slow pace, the bucket lift offers a convenient solution.
For instance, consider a scenario where a dead branch is hanging from another branch on a tree. With the bucket lift, workers can swiftly drive to the location, set up the truck, ascend to the necessary height, trim the branch, and depart just as efficiently. This saves time and ensures the safety of both the workers and the surrounding environment.
Moreover, the bucket lift enables the Public Works team to tackle various tasks easily. Whether pruning trees, installing or repairing streetlights, or conducting routine maintenance, this versatile vehicle provides the flexibility and accessibility needed to do the job quickly and efficiently.
Proper training has been provided to ensure the bucket lift is used safely and effectively. Public Works is committed to upholding the highest safety standards while maximizing productivity.
The Webster Public Works Department has recently welcomed a fleet of mini excavators into its arsenal of equipment. This marks a significant step forward in streamlining operations and enhancing service delivery within our community.
These compact yet powerful machines have quickly become indispensable assets within the Public Works Department, offering many benefits that contribute to more effective and practical execution of various tasks. From trenching and digging to material handling and landscaping, the versatility of mini excavators allows for a wide range of applications, making them an invaluable addition to their toolkit.
By harnessing the capabilities of these innovative machines, Public Works is poised to elevate the quality and effectiveness of its initiatives, ultimately enhancing our community’s overall well-being and prosperity. In the months ahead, we look forward to sharing updates and success stories highlighting the impactful contributions of mini excavators in advancing Public Works’ mission of serving the residents of Webster with distinction and dedication.
With their compact size and maneuverability, mini excavators excel in navigating tight and confined spaces where more immense equipment struggles to operate. Whether digging trenches along narrow streets or accessing utility lines in densely populated areas, these machines are adept at reaching once-inaccessible places. This enhanced maneuverability translates into faster project completion times and reduced disruptions to residents and traffic flow.

Beyond their operational benefits, mini excavators are also champions of environmental sustainability. Their compact footprint and reduced fuel consumption contribute to lower emissions, helping cities meet their sustainability goals and reduce their carbon footprint. In an era where environmental stewardship is a top priority for municipalities, the adoption of eco-friendly equipment like mini excavators is a step in the right direction towards building greener, more sustainable communities.
As the winds shift and the temperature rises, we’re reminded that hurricane season is fast approaching. Taking proactive steps to prepare ourselves, our families, and our communities for the potential challenges ahead is essential. From stockpiling emergency supplies to devising evacuation plans, readiness is critical to weathering the storm safely. As we gear up for another hurricane season, let’s embark on a journey of preparedness, ensuring that we stand firm in the face of adversity and emerge resilient, no matter what nature may bring our way.
The City of Webster has an emergency notification service that enables officials to rapidly disseminate messages to thousands of residents and businesses through a single telephone call, text message, or email. A vital component of any family plan is a well-stocked Emergency Kit. Keep enough supplies in your home to shelter in place for at least three days. If possible, keep these materials in an easily accessible, separate container or special cupboard. You should indicate to your household members that these supplies are for emergencies only. Check the expiration dates of food and update your kits when you change your clock during daylight-saving times. During hurricane season, always keep at least half a tank of gas in your car. Rethink your needs every year and update your kit as your household changes.
