FROM THE INTERIM CITY MANAGER

Greetings! As Interim City Manager, it is a pleasure to present to you our Program Guide featuring a multitude of family friendly events and activities taking place across our City this Winter and Spring courtesy of our Library, Parks & Recreation, and Tourism. As we face the uncertainties and challenges presented during our battle against COVID-19, finding health and happiness in an ever changing world is even more important throughout these unsettled times. It is critically important that we take care of ourselves, for not only our bodies, but also our minds. Self-care isn’t selfish, in fact, it’s the opposite. Within these pages you’ll find ways to be kind to yourself, including enjoyable things to do with the entire family. Together, you can achieve fitness goals at one of our state-of-the-art recreation centers, or take advantage of one of the many guided tours or excursions that are offered so you can become a tourist in your own backyard. Our Libraries also keep us informed, enlightened, and entertained – not much can beat curling up with a good book on a cold winter day. As we enter 2021, I invite you to discover what makes Suffolk a wonderful place to work, live, play and visit. Leave the ordinary behind, and set out on exciting explorations, endless fun, and unique experiences. You’ll never get bored if you’re trying something new! New is the year, new are the hopes, new is the resolution, new are the spirits, and new are our warm wishes that we all have a promising and fulfilling New Year! As you browse through this publication and take note of the events you want to add to your calendars, you’ll see why we like to say, “It’s A Good Time to Be In Suffolk”! Albert S. Moor II Interim City Manager
