How to Register STEP 1 > GO Go to: www.recguide.stalbert.ca or www.servusplace.ca STEP 2 > SEARCH FOR PROGRAM Choose from the following to find a program: Program Guide – Click on the e-version of the program guide and select front cover for the section you wish to review. Program Listing – Click on Programs from the menu and search based on age group/category. Program Advanced Search – Click on Programs from the menu and choose search from the drop down list to search based on: • day of week • start time • program type • location • age STEP 3 > REGISTER & LOGIN To register online, you will need: • Login ID • Account PIN Number Have a Membership or Have Taken a Program Before? You have already been assigned a Login ID & PIN number. These will be emailed to the address attached to your current account by November 13, 2013 OR Click Forgot Password, enter your email address and receive login information for everyone on the account.

STEP 4 > REGISTER & PAYMENT Double check that all the course information, date and times are correct before providing payment. • Item will be added to cart • You can either immediately go to checkout or continue shopping • If course is full you can select waitlist to be put on a waitlist for that course, where you will be contacted if space becomes available • Payment – select checkout We accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express. We accept cash, cheque and debit when registering in person. STEP 5 > REGISTRATION OPTIONS Registering online is the fastest and most convenient way to register. HOW TO REGISTER

In the event that you must withdraw or change your program registration (at least one week prior to the program start date), you can do one of the following:

All refunds and transfers within 7 days of the start date or after the program begins must be approved by a programmer and will only be done for extenuating circumstances. Please contact Guest and Member Services with all cancellation inquiries at 780.418.6008.

Cancellations

Programs may be cancelled due to low enrollment. In the event that a registered program is cancelled you will be notified, by phone, at least three (3) days prior to the start date. During these circumstances a full refund will be provided or you may transfer immediately into one of our available programs (subject to program availability). Register early to ensure your program runs!

Frequently Asked Questions

If the class is full can I go on a waiting list? Waiting lists are available for all of our classes; you will be contacted if a spot becomes available. Can I register after the program has started? We will strive to accommodate your request, please contact Guest Services at 780.418.6088. Can my child participate if they have special needs? Parents of children with special needs are encouraged to call our programming staff at 780.418.6088 to discuss participation opportunities. Please let us know at the time of registration if your child has any special needs or health concerns. Can I make up a missed class? We are not able to offer any make-up classes.

Bark in dog pose, hiss in the cobra, and meow in cat stretch. This well-rounded yoga class focuses on the physical self, including body awareness and fullness of breath. The emotional self, (including compassion for others and self-confidence,) is explored through storytelling, creative movement and simple discussions about life. Let’s Get Messy

Join us for this bug safari as the children explore different bugs and the places that we find them. Children will enjoy this active program, as they participate in a wide vareity of games and gross motor activities as we will spend most of our time gettin’ buggy in the gym..

Lets get together to enjoy muddy puddles, soap and bubbles! Children will be encouraged to explore many different mediums using paint, paper, glitter, glue and much more. The class will also include group play, songs, stories and other great ways to burn off that extra energy. Please dress for a mess!

Parent’s Night Out

Tumble and roll around servus place as we experience things that are inside, outside and upside down. Varied activities, including games, crafts and songs and will follow along this theme and encourage participation of all children. Please dress for the weather!

Drop your children off for an evening of fun while you enjoy a night off! Our qualified child-minding staff will keep your children entertained with crafts, games, books, free- play and a movie, Planes will be playing for children to view between activities. Playschool Programs 2014

Active Kids Preschool

Ages 3 - 4 and 4 - 5 A preschool that meets the needs of your little one with an unending amount of energy! We will spend a minimum of 1/3 of the class in the gym participating in active games and sports. The rest of the time will be spent following daily themes that will expose your child to new learning experiences through songs, music, stories, crafts and more. This preschool program is an active way to prepare your child for kindergarten. Please send your child in play clothes and indoor running shoes, more details to follow the first day of class.

Join one of our community preschool programs this year. Doodles is a perfect program for a first preschool experience. Play and Learn will be the second step in preparing your child for kindergarten.

Ages 3 - 4 Is your preschooler ready to learn and play in a fun and loving environment? Following weekly themes, children use their imagination through games, songs, stories and crafts in a softly structured class. If it meets your needs you can register for two days a week either Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/ Thursday. Skating - Level 1 Get Up and Go

Skating - Level 3 On the Edge

This class is designed for children who have no skating experience. Parents will be asked to assist their child on the ice for the first few lessons. Your child will learn that skating is fun! The focus of the class is on balance, posture, sitting down and getting up from the ice, marching/duck walk, marching the width of the ice and initiate backwards walk.

This class is designed for children who are able to get up and move on their own. Your child will be working on a 2 foot jump and step spin, 1 foot glides, squatting, lollipops, 2 foot stops and 2 foot glides on a curve.

Culinary Kids

Mission Adrenaline

Is your kid Canada’s next Top Chef? The kids will work with our staff in the Sobeyís Active Living Kitchen to prepare some basic healthy snacks, and food options; while learning food safety and proper food handling. They will explore scientific mysteries as they develop their culinary skills. Promoting healthy eating with the Canadian Food Guide!

Boys and girls alike will participate in the skills and games of different sports, trying new activities each week. Practicing those fundamental movement skills, we will work on different speed and agility activities to make us faster! Join us for a speedy good time!

This program provides everyone with an opportunity to develop gross motor skills and sport specific skills in an energetic and fun environment.

The ultimate playlist of sport! Experience all the classics and try some future classics like box hockey, Frisbee golf and broomball. Hip Opener (Yoga Workshop)

This workshop focuses on opening the hips significantly. Many of us sit or stand for the greater part of the day and this results in tense and tight hips. We often tend to hold a lot of mental and emotional stress in our hips which adds to this stiffness. This workshop will work on warming the muscles and joints with its practice as well as holding the poses to allow a true stretch to release that tightness. Foam Roller - Workshop

The foam roller can be used as a supplement to treatment or to prevent injuries by releasing adhesions in muscles and increasing blood flow. By performing Self-Myofascial Release techniques on a simple piece of foam, you can improve flexibility, function, performance and reduce injuries. Managing Back Pain Through Corrective Exercise

Savour the deep relaxation of restorative yoga. These soothing and well-supported poses offer us the opportunity to linger quietly for a few moments, leaving us nourished and well rested. These postures are deeply supported by blankets, blocks, or other props and are held for several minutes at a time. This is what yoga is all about, after all: stilling our fidgety bodies and calming our rambling minds so that we may rest quietly in the present moment and see clearly the peace that resides within.

One of the biggest hazards of growing old is increased risk of falling and getting a serious injury as a direct result. The good news is that we can reduce the risk with proper training. Join one of our Exercise and Wellness Specialists as we explore ways we can train to avoid falls. CODE 26681
