Animal Control

Animal Control is a contracted position within the City of Owatonna that is supervised by the police department. The duties of Animal Control include investigating and responding to various animal complaints within the city. The duties of the animal control officer are to respond to concerns about domestic animals, track the frequency of all animal control calls, and request citations when necessary. When the animal control officer is not available, the Patrol Division responds to calls for service.
