INSTRUCTOR BIOS RATHA SOK After picking up his first spray can at the age of 15, Ratha has devoted himself to expressing himself with this creative tool. A student at Metropolitan State College of Denver, majoring in business management and minoring in entrepreneurship, he owns his own clothing line while still creating artwork and murals. Ratha host workshops and teaches classes for youth and the community by showing them that graffiti is an art form and how it can be used in a positive way. ANNE VAN LEEUWEN Anne has been a hand papermaker for over 30 years and has taught paper making and cyanotype. She received her B.A. in design from UCLA. Her papermaking training includes work at Carriage House (Brookline, MA); Fabriano, Italy (paper’s first home in Europe); Taos Papermaking; and the International Association of Papermakers workshops in Italy and France. SUMI VON DASSOW Well-known as a potter, teacher and writer, Sumi has work that includes brightly glazed functional pieces, burnished and pitfired vessels and ceramic sculpture. She has exhibited and won awards in major national and local shows, including the Cherry Creek Arts Festival. She has written two books and produced a DVD, published numerous articles about pottery, and taught workshops across the country.

ROBIN WILTON Robin has earned a BFA with a concentration in weaving from CSU in Ft. Collins. She has been weaving for over 40 years. Known as “the Weaving Lady”, Robin specializes in doing programs about weaving and spinning to Denver metro area children in schools and at events. Robin has taught Inkle Weaving for shops and weaving guilds throughout the Front Range for many years. RUTHANN WOODS Ruthann has focused on painting landscapes in pastel since 2002. She won awards for her paintings in oil and pastel. She studied art, design and business in college. Color and design were her focus in quilting for 13 years. In pursuit of her interest in the field of art therapy she explored sculpture and ceramics. Ruthann combines her fascination with nature and her passion for color in painting landscapes. She has been teaching landscape pastel painting classes since 2009.
