JONESBORO LIBRARY REMAINS CLOSED City residents and others with the 30236 zip code have waited over a year for the Jonesboro Library to reopen. It was closed due to HVAC problems and has remained closed. Do you miss the library and its services? Jonesboro Library has stood at the corner of Lee Street and Smith Street for over 50 years...every other community in Clayton County has a viable library except Jonesboro! For Jonesboro, the Library is a place for students to do research, use the computer, and gather books and other materials after school. Our senior citizens rely on the library for reserved books. The Jonesboro Library is a much used resource in our City. If you miss the library and think EVERY Community needs a library, a source of knowledge, an opportunity for young and old, please voice your concerns to our County Commissioners. Our District Commissioner is Demont Davis (770) 477-3216. Commission Chair is Jeffrey Turner. For a full listing of commissioners, see www.claytoncountyga.gov.

PLEASE AVOID BURNING LEAVES AND TRASH IN THE CITY Burning pollutes the neighborhood and is dangerous for the elderly and those with allergies. We ask that you pile leaves by the curb away from the street, and we will pick

them up. Thanks!
