Jonesboro Majestic Marching Cardinals Headed to Chicago Jonesboro High School Band Cardinals, under the direction of Mr. Lynel Goodwin, have been invited and will participate in the 2019 Chicago Thanksgiving Parade on November 29, 2019. The Majestic Marching Cardinals will be marching down State Street on Thanksgiving in front of a record crowd as well as an audience of people watching at home. The Thanksgiving Parade is Chicago's grand holiday tradition, which is produced and presented by the Chicago Festival Association. The parade is held on Thanksgiving Day in Downtown Chicago, and runs from 8 am until 11 am. It is broadcast live on WGN-TV and nationwide on the WGN America cable network. Mr. Goodwin said, “We take seriously our job as ambassadors of the great City of Jonesboro as well as the Clayton County School District.” Felicia Brown is the Principal at Jonesboro High School.
