NEW GROCERY STORE ON TAP IN CITY “Our Roots are European, but our vegetables are grown here”

Have you noticed a new building emerging on Tara Boulevard in our City ? LIDL (pronounced lee-dul) is a full-service grocery store, offering fresh baked goods and a variety of food items, wines, and other staples. LIDL offers high quality and low prices, and a great shopping experience. New products are introduced each Wednesday. The LIDL App helps shoppers manage their lists, explore new products, and save coupons for checkout. LIDL is not your cookiecutter grocery store; they have exacting standards for their products. In 1973, the first modern Lidl store opened in Ludwigshafen, Germany. With only three employees and about 500 products, this small store became the foundation of LIDL’s far-reaching expansion. During the 1990s, LIDL began opening stores outside of Germany and within a few years, LIDL had stores all across Europe. LIDL now operates more than 11,000 stores and is active in 32 countries, employing around 287,000 people globally. Their mission is to offer customers the highest quality fresh produce, meat, baked goods and household products at the lowest possible prices. Other metro locations include Marietta, Mableton, Peachtree Road, Briarcliff Parkway, and Lawrenceville (opening June 10) Grand opening date in Jonesboro has not been set at the present time. Stay tuned, Jonesboro! For further information, see www.lidl.com.
