Closeup on ...Battleground Park Located just inside the City Limits on Jodeco Road, Battleground Park is one of the “gems” of Jonesboro. The Park sits on seven acres and offers a large pavilion, playground, picnic tables, parking and restrooms...plenty of room for a pick up football or softball game as well as serenity to enjoy nature. It is a great location for a picnic or cookout. If you haven’t visited Battleground, give it a try today. The Park is available for rental through Jonesboro City Hall for group usage. April 26: Coffee With a Cop, Firehouse Mus., 8 am Meet with “Jonesboro’s Finest,” and get your questions and concerns addressed. A display of city equipment will also be on site. April 26, 27, 28: FREE Garage Sale Days, register at City Hall April 28: Relay for Life, Lee Street Park, 4-10 am Students at Jonesboro Middle School have been invited to submit original artwork depicting a City location. Winners will be announced at May Council Meeting.
