ASPIRE Adaptive Archery Open Gym (Ages 8+)
Participants will learn the basic fundamentals of archery, pop balloons and play archery games. Adaptive equipment is available, and no previous experience is needed. Morehead Recreation Center Tuesdays, Oct. 4 & 18, Nov. 1 & 15, 5 - 6 p.m. Free
Special Olympics Guilford/High Point Local Bowling Competition (Ages 8+)
This is a Special Olympics bowling competition for local school athletes. Some athletes may advance to area and state competition. Lunch will be provided for all athletes, teachers and coaches. High Point Bowling Center Thursday & Friday, Nov. 17 - 18, 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. Free Wheel Serve Piedmont (Ages 18+)
Wheelchair tennis is coming to the Piedmont! Through this program individuals with physical disabilities will learn the fundamentals of wheelchair tennis as they improve health, reduce stress, build confidence and enjoy opportunities for socialization. Bill Styles Memorial Accessible Fishing Tournament (All Ages)
The wheelchair-accessible bank fishing area at Oak Hollow Marina will play host to this tournament honoring the memory of local angler Bill Styles. Prizes will be awarded in multiple categories. Oak Hollow Marina Thursday, Aug. 18 9 a.m. - noon $5 per participant
