Sunset Paddles at Oak Hollow Lake (Ages 16+)

Enjoy a guided tour at sunset by kayak around beautiful Oak Hollow Lake. Kayaks are available on a first-come, firstserved basis, and registration is required in advance. Oak Hollow Marina Fridays, July 16, 18, August 13, September 24, 7:30 - 10 p.m. $6 per class + $9 single kayak, $16 tandem kayak. $6 class fee if you bring your own kayak.

Women's Intro to Kayaking and Safety on the Water (Ages 18+)

Join us for a women’s introductory course on kayaking and water safety! This two-hour class, taught by an ACA-certified female instructor, will cover basic water safety and kayaking techniques. Lessons include choosing safety gear, the dangers of cold water, proper paddling and boat handling. Instruction will be conducted both on land and on the water in an encouraging environment. Intro to Kayaking (Ages 16+)

Kayaking has become very popular, and yet many beginners are not well-versed in standard kayaking techniques or important safety procedures. This teaches the basics of flatwater kayaking. Adult Crafting Classes (Ages 18+)

Crafting is a wonderful way to learn a new skill, tap into your creative side and reduce stress! In this series of classes, we're painting on canvas, creating a lip and body scrub, wood working, experimenting with tie-dye and more! Craft supplies are provided; grab a friend and join us! Pre-registration is required. Fall Oak Hollow Open: Ryder Cup Edition (Ages 16+)

Celebrating its tenth year, this is a two-person captain's choice, 36-hole event that will be flighted after the first round. Open to the first 60 teams, the 8 a.m. "Shotgun Start" for both Saturday and Sunday rounds gives golfers a chance to get a round in before watching football games in the afternoon! Oak Hollow Golf Course Saturday & Sunday, September 18 - 19, 8 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. $100 per team

Here's a chance for the sneaker community to buy, sell and trade some of the most sought-after pairs out there! We'll showcase the Triad's largest collectors and resellers of sneakers, streetwear and art. High Point Parks & Recreation Esports

Calling all gamers! We have teamed up with L.E.A.P. to bring you a recreational online gaming experience. Download the Mission Control app and select us as your league. Whether you’re a beginner or a pro, you can join leagues with friends across the city or state and compete in your favorite online games and be crowned High Point's Esports Champion! For more information and tournament schedule, see page 19, or please call Kimili Long at 336.883.3504. Southside Recreation Center $10 per participant for marquee leagues/tournaments. Non-marquee leagues/tournaments will vary in participant fee from $5 - $10 to no charge for participation.

Walkers Club (Ages 18+)

This program provides indoor space for adults to safely walk and socialize with friends as they improve overall health and wellness through exercise. Physical distancing will be observed, and sanitization and screening protocols will be conducted prior to the start of the program. Fall Leaf Kayak Tour (Ages 16+)

Enjoy a guided kayak tour of the lovely Arnold J. Koonce, Jr. City Lake during its most scenic season. On our tour, we will see an abundance of beautiful seasonal colors with the changing of the leaves; we may even see some wildlife! Registration begins October 1.
