ADULT GROUP SWIM LESSONS (LEVELS 1 TO 2) Levels 1 to 2

JANUARY 5 TO 26, FEBRUARY 2 TO 23, MARCH 1 TO 22, MARCH 29 TO APRIL 19, APRIL 26 TO MAY 17 SUNDAYS, 2 P.M. Fee: members $45, nonmembers $60 per session Learn the various swim strokes in instructor-led classes designed specifically for adults. Level 1 includes an introduction to swimming and refinement of all formal swim strokes, while Level 2 teaches advanced techniques designed to prepare swimmers for lap swimming and individual workout routines.

PRIVATE SWIM LESSONS Fee: members $35, nonmembers $50 Prefer a more private setting? Develop a more efficient stroke, learn how to swim or improve timing in a one-onone setting. Private lessons are available for adults and children. Choose “aquatics” at gacfitness.org to connect with a swim lesson instructor. AMERICAN RED CROSS LIFEGUARD TRAINING AND RECERTIFICATION JANUARY 3, 4, AND 5; FEBRUARY 8, 9 AND 15; MARCH 20, 21, AND 22; APRIL 11, 12, AND 18, 9 A.M. TO 5 P.M. Certification fee: members $225, nonmembers $240 Recertification fee: members $100, nonmembers $115 Become a Certified American Red Cross Lifeguard. Prerequisites for the certification include swimming three

MASTERS SWIM PROGRAM TUESDAYS AND THURSDAYS, 5:30 AM Fee: members $35/month, nonmembers $50/month This program is for swimmers interested in improving their stroke technique, endurance and overall fitness level. Masters Swim is a coach-led structured workout program.

STROKE TECHNIQUE CLINICS SATURDAYS, 9 A.M. JANUARY 4 TO 25 Freestyle FEBRUARY 1 TO 22 Backstroke MARCH 7 TO 28 Breaststroke APRIL 4 TO 25 Butterfly Fee: members $45/month, nonmembers $60/month This program focuses on improving technique in all four competitive strokes. It is designed to be consecutive and cumulative. Attending all classes is encouraged.

GERMANTOWN SWIM TEAM Germantown Athletic Club is the proud home of the Germantown Gators Swim Team. GST is a volunteer supported competitive, year-round swim team. Through advancing the sport of

SCHOOL EVENTS HOUSTON HIGH SCHOOL MUSTANG THEATRE - INTO THE WOODS FEBRUARY 21 THROUGH 24 Houston High School Auditorium 9755 Wolf River Boulevard Join the Houston High School Theatre program on a journey into a fantastical world where traditional fairy tales take on fractured new lives and teach important new lessons. Fairy tales begin “once upon a time” and end “happily ever after.” Not so fast! After all the dreams come true in this Tony Award-winning Stephen Sondheim musical, everybody returns to the woods for a reality check. Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack (of beanstalk fame) and Rapunzel get tangled up with a bevy of other fairytale characters and a few new ones created to add to the chaos and discover the unexpected consequences of having wishes come true. 2019 Inspiring Teacher Award recipient, Kell Christie will direct students in the production.
