VIRTUOSO SPANISH FLAMENCO GUITARIST PACO LARA

The virtuoso Spanish flamenco guitarist Paco Lara, who boasts of a distinguished career in Europe, Asia and Latin America, will launch his album “The Andalusian Guitar” at the Jetty Theatre in 2023. The album features some of the finest musicians from Spain and Australia and comes hot on the heels of success at the Sydney Opera House and Adelaide Guitar Festival in 2021.

The 2022 national tour of his solo album “The Andalusian Guitar” continues to place Lara at the top of the Australian music scene. There’ll be hints of traditional flamenco, themes from “The Andalusian Guitar” album and some of the greatest guitar classics of all times from composers as Paco de Lucía or Joaquín Rodrigo, will be performed with the characteristic and unmistakable sound (toque) of Jerez (Spain). Music of other styles will be included too, like the beautiful Cavatina from the film The Deer Hunter and Waltzing Matilda – in flamenco style? The maestro himself and his amazing ensemble and guest flamenco dancer, Deya Miranda Giner are an experience not to be missed, it’s an opportunity to see one of the worlds best flamenco guitarists in concert. Audiences will be transported to Southern Spain whilst being captivated by his performance.
