PrEsiDEnT Of Jaguariúna’s CiT y COunCiL fOr THE sECOnD TiME

In December 2022, City Counselor Romilson Silva, who is in his third consecutive term and is the longest serving councilor in Jaguariúna, was elected Mayor of Jaguariúna for the biennium 2023/2024, being the second time he occupies the office.

Graduated in Public Management and Quality Management, Romilson Silva is 39 years old, married and the father of two children. He has been working at Jaguar Plásticos for 20 years as a Quality Auditor, his first job.

City Counselor Romilson Silva highlighted the importance of being President of the Chamber and expressed his gratitude and his expectations for the sequence of works:

“I want to express my deepest gratitude, from the bottom of my heart, to the councilors who entrust me with such a noble and important mission to once again lead the Municipal Legislature, which is a fundamental power for the full development of our municipality. I feel honored, proud and prepared for yet another challenge in my public career.

As President of the Legislative of Jaguariúna, I will work hard, together with all the councilors, so that this house maintains its independence and works in harmony with the Executive Branch, always in defense of the public interest.

I will carry out a democratic management that brings the Chamber closer to the Jaguariunense citizen. Here in this parliament is the portrait of the diversity of our population. Respect for divergence of ideas and freedom of expression and thought are non-negotiable values in this House of Laws. Thanks again for the trust, noble peers. Let’s do more and more for our city together.”
