New Energy Efficiency System at the Municipal Hospital

In March 2023, the new energy efficiency system at Walter Ferrari Municipal Hospital was delivered, as a result of action by the City of Jaguariúna and CPFL Santa Cruz, involving the installation of a photovoltaic system to generate solar energy and the replacement of 1,200 light bulbs for the LED models, thus renewing the internal lighting of the Hospital

According to the concessionaire’s calculations, the new system will generate more than 200 MWh/year, resulting in annual savings of more than R$ 100,000 in electricity and will prevent the emission of about 12.75 tons of CO² per year (equivalent to planting 76 trees).

The project did not entail any costs for the public authorities. The investment, around BRL 765,000, was fully funded by CPFL Santa Cruz, as part of the actions developed by the company in the CPFL nos Hospitais Program, created in 2019.
