UNLIKELY LIGHT-BEARER

I can’t believe we are in our fnal week together! It’s amazing how fast time goes. As someone who has at times reluctantly chosen to step into the place of infuence God has invited me into, I love speaking from a place of encouragement and challenge to those who love Jesus wholeheartedly, but struggle for one reason or another with being a light-bearer. Maybe it’s inadequacy, fear, failure, insecurity, doubt, comparison or something else that seems to trip you up with this idea that you, yes YOU, have infuence and a Divine, God-given purpose.

So many individuals I have talked with over the years have a difcult time walking in the truth that they are an integral part of the body of Christ; that their Creator has them where they are for a beautiful purpose. Te truth is your individual light is important and valuable in the Kingdom of Heaven! It’s when our collective lights shine brightly together that darkness doesn’t stand a chance! YOU, my friend, have been invited to shine bright!

I Corinthians 1:26-29

Brothers and sisters, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were infuential; not many were of noble birth. But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before him.
