Back the BLUE

We look forward to hosting the Sunrise Kiwanis on Saturday, April 29th. The Kiwanis have been a tremendous supporter of children’s programs, including our Summer Golf Camps as well as the fantastic playground at Jaycee Park. This year’s event will be unlike any other….with several food stations throughout the course and a tremendous “Cooler of Booze” Raffle valued at over $1,300!!

Beginning mid-May, we will start our aggressive course maintenance program. Our first green aeration will be held on Monday and Tuesday, May 15th & 16th. Monday we only have 9 holes open while we aerate the other nine. On Tuesday, we will be completely CLOSED for the day while we aerate the second nine holes as well as several fairways. Following that green aeration, we will be specifically focused on our main issue this Summer which has been our fairways. They will be regularly spiked as well as heavily fertilized and sprayed to keep any weeds and insects at bay. Remember as we get into the hotter days of Summer to STAY HYDRATED!!! It is extremely important to drink liquids throughout your round. We see many players with one small bottle of water thinking that it will be sufficient where they should probably have two or even THREE for just nine holes. Other helpful additions to your golf cart prior to a round would be sports drinks to replenish electrolytes and salty snacks such as nuts or protein bars. We certainly want you to enjoy summer golf, but we want to make sure that you stay safe.

Word of mouth is our greatest form of advertising, so we ask if you’ve played here and enjoyed the changes we’re making, please tell a friend….or two! If there’s something we can improve upon…tell US so we can keep getting better! We thank all of our members and guests for their support and we ask that you please “Like” and “Follow Us” on Facebook or Instagram to see almost daily updates on the golf course and our ongoing maintenance projects.
