June 1, 2021 Update

We have annual training on mental health strategies. It is also the intent of the Department is to have all of the Officers and Support Staff of the Department to be certified in Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) Training. CIT involves working in a team with mental health practitioners, law enforcement, medical personnel, and other first responders. The focus is to provide the best services possible to the individual in a mental health crisis.
