“Through semi-realism, I wish to combine modernity and primitivism in modern oil painting. With my own unique methods of processing paint, I’m exploring the best way to treat the background and foreground separately on canvas while producing a perfectly complementary effect. I draw ideas from everyday life and nature to express the desire to free ourselves from the complexity and rapidly changing nature of society, revealing various truths of human nature.”

Ren Jianhui graduated from the prestigious Art Academy of Qinghua University under the guidance of renowned art master Mr. Wu Guanzhong. In 1992, he made Singapore his home and established his artistic career there.

Jianhui’s remarkable talent has garnered international recognition, as he was honored as one of the “Top 60 Masters of International Contemporary Artists” in 2013 by the United States, Canada, and Italy. Additionally, he has contributed to the artistic community as a former teacher at the National University of Singapore.

As a passionate advocate for the arts, Jianhui Ren serves as the President of the Artists Society of Singapore since 2002. He is also a valued member of the esteemed China Artists Association, further cementing his dedication and contributions to the art world.
