Suzanne Howe recently embraced a new artistic direction guided by her fantastical imagination. This transformation brought anthropomorphized objects to the forefront of her vibrant artworks. Inspiration struck Howe during halfawake moments and daydreams, where fully formed images flooded her mind. Encouragement from a painting workshop instructor to infuse her authentic personality into her art played a crucial role in this creative shift. What sets Howe’s work apart is her skillful technique, utilizing subtle pointillist brushstrokes to create textured surfaces that engage the senses. Her warm sense of humor adds an extra dimension to her artwork, resonating with viewers. Howe conveys, “I am expressing the human condition through anthropomorphic evocative events, using objects as figurative stand-ins to which everyone can relate. No gender or color or cultural barriers.”

Ihara, a renowned Japanese sculptor born in 1957 into the esteemed Tenpo-ryu Iemoto family, showcases exceptional talent and creativity. Studying stage design at OSK in 1961, Ihara immersed himself in visual storytelling and aesthetics. Ihara showcased at the Nika Exhibition from 1967 to 1974, Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum. In 1973, he was honored as a special member of the Japan Ikebana Art Association, demonstrating mastery of traditional flower arrangement. Ihara’s sculptures, displaying profound expression and understanding of form, balance, and material, captivate audiences worldwide.
