improvised and part of it was an accident. All I had at the beginning was a pile of hair from Gio ( Bellie Fuori), my local hairdresser. She collected me different kinds of hair, and somehow I ended up with three piles: red, dark and blond hair. Then, I started drawing initial story board by simple placing the material to different locations‌ Then I would go and film it. Next step was to watch the footage, I always do it, sometimes on the shoot. People tell me it is waist of time, but I think watching and listening, it is very important part in making/ directing films. The new ideas for the shoot would come from watching initial footage. I repeated this few times, each time bringing a new material. Suddenly, I started realising that everything gets clearer step by step. This working process brought to existence 3 characters: actress with blond hair, red and brunett. Two of them where then still not continuously chosen, but the girl with red hair appeared vividly in my imagination. I needed to find her. Other two actresses just happened to be at the right place at the right time. It was a pure accident, I am so lucky. Lottie Bowater was my camera woman on couple of shoots, and as I had this

strong image of the dancer in my head, she brought on 2nd day of shooting her mum, Julie Hills. It turned up this was just perfect. Julie, trained dancer, did without an effort what I wanted. It was just a perfect coincident. The same as Lottie ending up in the shoot. Lottie musician, and emerging documentary director, used to be a model in the past. I had no clue. I have noticed this incredible honesty and beauty in her, when we were shooting closeups of hair one night at the Carpark. The wind blew her dark hair in the red street lamp light, and it was it! I knew, I want her in the film. Then, I needed a couple coming together in the park. I didn’t know why, I thought dancing it would be a good idea. I knew I wanted a female and male to meet in the park and be intimate in some way, but I did not know yet what way. Shoot with Joanna Drake ( Joe) and Justin Groves, was a pure experiment. I had a cinematographer/ operator Sara Ross-Samko, who found me on social media, straight from US. Joe and Justin were from Casting Pro website. I have only met Sara few days before. I only had email exchange with Joe and Justin before the shoot. When I have seen they online
