Preface 前言

We made movies during a worldwide pandemic! Someday, we may forget how crazy it was. When I saw pictures of the Taiwan screening, I was almost shocked. Life was close to normal in Taiwan, but in the USA where I live, a screening was impossible. Schools and theaters remained closed here, and we couldn’t gather in large groups. Even if we continued smiling, many of us felt the fatigue of months of isolation. Some of us even had a relative or friend pass away.

Making movies can help. Creativity can keep us sane in tough times. Creativity allows us to reimagine the world. The process can liberate.

During this pandemic, I hope participants of 2020 Cinemasports International experienced the magic of creativity and the power of connection with teammates and teams around the world. Congratulations to Taiwan for staying relatively safe during the pandemic, and I hope we can all make movies again soon in a safer world.

我們在世界疫情爆發的時刻完成了拍片 ! 也許有一 天 , 我們會忘記這件事到底有多麼瘋狂。當我看到 台灣的播映會 , 真的太震驚了 , 台灣的生活好像跟 過去一樣正常 , 但是在我住的美國 , 這樣的播映會 是完全不可能 , 學校和戲院都已經被關閉 , 而且群 聚是被禁止的 , 即使我們還是保持微笑 , 但在這裡 很多人都因為許多個月的隔離中感到孤立無援 , 有 些甚至失去了親人或朋友。

創作影片可幫助我們 , 創造力讓我們在艱苦的時候 保持清醒 , 創造力讓我們能夠重新想像這個世界 , 透過這個過程而得到解放。

在這場疫情中 , 我希望參與過 2020 年國際拍片運動 的朋友們 , 能夠體驗到創作的魔力 , 能夠跟來自世 界的團隊與隊員 , 透過這個活動連結是很珍貴。非 常恭喜台灣能夠在這場疫情中依然保持平安的生 活 , 還有希望我們能很快能在一個更安全的世界 中 , 再次一起拍攝電影。

The Kick-Off Meeting 拍片開跑日

The kick-off meeting for Taiwan teams took place on the morning of 24th Oct 2020 in Tainan and other countries participants to get together, cheer, and motivate each other right at the beginning of the filming

days just before it the 10 hours film challenge starts. 台灣拍片日宣誓活動在 2020 年 10 月 24 日早上在台南和 其他國家舉行開跑宣誓活動 , 參賽者齊聚一堂 , 互相 加油打氣 , 緊接下來開始十小時的拍片衝刺。

The Opening 開幕

播映會於 2020 年 10 月 31 日在台南正興街徒步區小廣 場舉辦 , 活動開始由精彩的吉他伴奏演場 , 演唱歌 手蔡秉佑、曾韋翰、郭于齊 , 優美的歌聲中揭開序 幕。今年邀請到專業劇作家陸昕慈老師主持活動。 The screening was held on the 31th October 2020 in Jheng-sing Street pedestrian zone, Tainan, Taiwan. The event began with a wonderful guitar accompaniment and the beautiful singing of singers Bing-You Tsai , Wei-Han Tseng and Yu-Chi Kuo. professional script writer for many TV series in Taiwan.
