Below are some tips to help your child stick to the plan. Community pediatricians such as Marc Richardson, MD, and experts at Cincinnati Children's have a few tips to help families remember to follow the doctor’s orders:

Ñ{›·“ Set an alarm clock, or several.

Ñ{›·¿ Put up a calendar and have the child add stickers (or color in boxes) after each dose.

Ñ{›·´ Make the routine a family affair by taking your vitamins at the same time your child takes medications.

Ñ{›·µ Schedule text message reminders.

Ñ{›·» Sort medicine into a weekly pillbox with daily sections.

Ñ{›·r Link the schedule to regular daily routines, such teeth brushing, dinner or bedtime prayers.

Ñ{›·q Use dispensers with electronic meters, such as MEMS, to track each dose as it is taken.
