Taylor High School senior Rob Chapman is the most recent Western Hills Exchange Club Student of the Month. Chapman, an AP Scholar, is a member of two audition-only choirs – the senior choir and men’s vocal ensemble. He also has participated in the All-State Choir and District 14 Honor Choir. Chapman is a member of the Student Council, National Honor Society and Taylor’s Cappies team. The Student of the Month program is sponsored by Kroger. McAuley High School presents scholarships to eighth-graders A group of eighth-grade girls recently was honored at the Catherine McAuley Honoree Dinner, a gala buffet and celebration ceremony at McAuley High School. The students were offered scholarships of varying amounts, ranging from $500 to full tuition, to attend McAuley. Mother of Mercy High School senior Katie Hautman, left, and sophomore Jane Eby will be recognized with 2011 YMCA Character Awards. The event honors 40 teens from the Greater Cincinnati area who have demonstrated outstanding qualities of leadership and character and are working to strengthen their schools and communities. Eby was nominated for her participation in the Youth and City Government Program. Hautman was nominated for her leadership roles in Mercy Works, a community service club at Mercy, and as a program assistant at a Girl Scout Camp.
