Katherine Bullock Katherine Thacker Bullock, 73, of Taylor Mill, died Sept. 22 at her home. Her husband, Harold Bullock, died previously. Survivors include her sons, Walter Eversole, Michael Eversole, Arnold Eversole, and Harold Bullock; daughter, Darleen Couch, Lucy Turner, and Sharon Sams; sisters, Arleno Ober and Thelma Klink; and nine grandchildren along with 25 greatgrandchildren and one greatgreat-grandchild. Burial was at Burlington Cemetery.
LaVerne Burk LaVerne A. Burk, 85, of Kenton County, died Sept. 17 at Villa Springs Care Center in Erlanger. She was an administration worker for the Internal Revenue Service for 20 years and a member of St. Joseph Church in Crescent Springs. Her husband, Edward J. Burk; and daughter, Debbie Jones, died previously.
Loretta Eggleston Loretta Mae Schoborg Eggleston, 85, of Independence, died Sept. 17 at Villa Springs Care Center in Erlanger. She was a retired cook for Kenton County Schools at Kenton Elementary and a member of St. Cecilia Church. She enjoyed working on jigsaw puzzles. Her husband, Howard Eggleston; son, John Eggleston; daughter, Kathleen Eggleston; brothers, Norb and Joe Schoborg; and sisters, Mary Maus, Delores Bass, Carolyn Petticord, Jenny Hesselman, and Estell Watts, died previously. Survivors include her son, William “Bill� Eggleston; daughters, Helen Webster, Mary Eggleston, Barb Armstrong, Dorothy May, Rita Eggleston, Joyce Eggleston, and Christine Harney; sisters, Vera Schmitt, Cecilia Dennis, Lucille Perry, and Martha Rogers; and 21 grandchildren along with many great-grandchildren. Inez Straw Inez Barrett Straw, 100, of Independence, died Sept. 19 at her home. She was raised on a small mountain farm in La Jose, Pennsylvania, attended a one-room grade school, and graduated from Altoona High School in 1933. After settling in Kentucky with her family she volunteered as PTA president and leader in the Garden Club, Utopia Club, 4-H Club, Cub Scouts, and many other community organizations. She was a founding member of the Independence Grace Baptist Church and a long-standing member of Florence Baptist Church. She also taught Sunday school to young women. Her husband, William Straw; and son, Michael Straw, died previously. Survivors include her sons, Bill Straw of Gig Harbor, Washington, John Straw of Montrose, Colorado, and Dan Straw of Bayfield, Colorado; and five
