George August Baer Jr., 78, Miami Township, died April 29. He was a civil engineer for the U.S. Army. He was a Coast Guard veteran of Korea. Survived by wife Barbara Baer; children (George III “Bruce”), Daniel, James (Trina), John (Betty) Baer, Anna (John) Poskonka; grandchildren Adam, Christia, Carrie, Matthew, Bryann, Sarah, Susie, Taylor; sister Frances Enz. Preceded in death by parents George Sr., Margaret Baer, siblings Marge Jaschke, Dolores Flynn, Agnes Haselhorst, Annaliese, John Baer. Services were May 3 at St. Andrew Catholic Church. Arrangements by Evans Funeral Home. Memorials to the St. Vincent de Paul Society in care of St. Andrew Church.
