“This Land is Your Land, This Land is My Land.” “For those who might not be familiar, ‘This Land is Your Land, This Land is My Land,’ involved the creation of a video featuring the stories of local ‘Heroes’ (veterans) who were interviewed by Sherwood secondgraders,” said Dallas Jackson as he presented Prues to the Forest Hills Local School District Board of Education for recognition. Last fall the project was selected to participate in the Ohio School Board Association’s Student Showcase. At the showcase, Prues was presented with the 2010 Success in Public Schools Award from the Ohio Coalition for Public Education. Don Bishop, commander of American Legion Post 318, nominated Prues for the Ohio American Legion Educator of the Year Award. “I always believed that Donna was a strong candidate for this award.
