Mary Louise Adick
Mary Louise Bowman Adick, 95, of Newport, formerly of Independence, died Sept. 18, 2011, at Baptist Convalescent Center in Newport. She was a homemaker. Her husband, Roland J. Adick, died previously. Survivors include her son, Michael Adick of Kenton Hills; daughters, Lynn Ross of Alexandria and Dolores Sommerkamp of Edgewood; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Thomas L. Day
Thomas L. Day, 60, of Bromley, died Sept. 19, 2011, at his residence. He was a retired baker for Interstate Brands in Cincinnati and a member of Sts. Boniface & James Church in Ludlow, the Bromley Volunteer Fire Department and Flying Cardinals of Northern Kentucky. He enjoyed building radio controlled model airplanes and after retiring worked at Crescent Springs Hardware. His wife, Mary Lou Day, and a sister, Jean Sue Day, died previously. Survivors include his daughter, Suzy Webster of Bromley; brothers, Daniel Day of Gilbertsville, Ky., and Timothy Day of Taylor Mill; sisters, Therese Van de Geer of Elizabethtown, Ginny Brookover of Taylor Mill, Patti Bevis of Union and Nancy Day of Walton; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Ruth E. Dirheimer, 92, of Villa Hills, died Sept. 24, 2011, at Madonna Manor. Her husband, James J. Dirheimer, died in 1998. Survivors include her daughters, Carolyn Foltz, Janet Ferguson and Linda Sheehy; sons, James R. Dirheimer and Gary Dirheimer; 16 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Fred Faulkner
Fred Faulkner, 51, of Dry Ridge, died Sept. 19, 2011, at St. Elizabeth Fort Thomas. He was a machine operator for Anchor Glass Container in Lawrenceburg, Ind., and a supervisor at the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport for Budget and Alamo. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling and football, and was a car enthusiast. He was a member of the Sherman Full Gospel Assembly in Dry Ridge. His parents, Donald Edward and Shirley Mae Duvall Faulkner, died previously. Survivors include his wife, Carrie Caldwell Faulkner; sons, David Faulkner and Karlas Faulkner, both of Covington, Austin Faulkner and Aaron Moore, both of Dry Ridge, Brandon Faulkner of Independence and Houston Moore of Crittenden; brothers, Donnie Faulkner of Williamstown and Tom Faulkner of Dry Ridge; sister, Pam Cox of Florence; and nine grandchildren. David Lee Feldhaus, 48, of Burlington, died Sept. 21, 2011, at St. Elizabeth Florence. He formerly worked at Turfway Park. His parents, Albert and Leotto Horn Feldhaus, died previously. Lanny Gene Hiller Sr., 73, of Taylor Mill, died Sept. 16, 2011, at his home. He retired in 1991 after 34 years of service as a mechanical clerk for Procter & Gamble. He was a member of Highland Hills Baptist Church in Fort Thomas and enjoyed fishing, golfing, bird watching, and coaching little league baseball, basketball and boys’ club games. He was a University of Kentucky basketball fan and won the 1960 Cincinnati Table Tennis City Tournament. Survivors include his wife, Carol Hayes Hiller; son, Lanny G. “Geno” Hiller Jr. of Independence; daughters, Lisa Hiller Corsale and Shawn Hiller LaRowe of Taylor Mill; brothers, Ralph HIller of Vero Beach, Fla., Dr. Joe Hiller, MD, and Robert J. William A. Kingkade, 70, of Covington, died Sept. 24, 2011, at Providence Pavilion in Covington. He retired from the transportation deptartment at St. Elizabeth and was a member of St. Mary’s Cathedral in Covington. Survivors include his brother, Greg Kingkade of Covington. Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 30, at St. Mary’s Cathedral, Covington. Mass of Christian Burial will follow. Robert ‘Bobby’ Martin
Robert “Bobby” D. Martin, 41, of Union, died Sept. 27, 2011, at St. Elizabeth Florence. He was an independent insurance adjuster and a member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church. He loved woodworking, model trains, diecast cars and his John Deere tractor, playing cards and watching NASCAR. He was an outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing, camping, hiking and motorcycles. His father, Raymond Martin, died previously. Survivors include his wife, Jenene Hudson Martin; mother, Ruby Vinson Martin of Walton; brothers, Mike Martin of Walton and Donnie Martin of Independence; and two godchildren. Gary C. Schroth, 69, of Florence, died Sept. 15, 2011, at St. Elizabeth Florence. He was a retired engineer for Norfolk Southern Railroad, a U.S. Air Force veteran and attended Crescent Springs Presbyterian Church. His wife, Ruth E. Hicks Schroth, died in 2009. Donald B. Vaughn, 80, of Fort Wright, died Sept. 21, 2011, at St. Elizabeth Edgewood. He was a U.S. Army Korean veteran and a retired sales representative for Johnston Paper Co. He was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church in Covington. His wife, Myrtle Agnes McCane Vaughn, died in 2005. Survivors include his twin sister, Doris Vaughn of Fort Wright; sister, Carlene Hisel of Florence; stepson, Walter Lane of Paris, Ky.; four step grandchildren; and six step greatgrandchildren. Janet E. Wells, 74, of Latonia, died Sept. 22, 2011, at St. Elizabeth Edgewood. She retired as a clerk from the Alcohol, Tobacco & Firearms branch in Cincinnati and was a member of the Hilltop Church of Christ in Taylor Mill and the Order of the Eastern Star Rosebud Chapter. She coached girls softball for the Latonia Youth Club. Her husband, Keith Wells, died in 1979. Survivors include her sons, Keith L. Ruby Lee Williams, 84, formerly of Fairview, died Sept. 21, 2011, at Golden Years Nursing Home in Hamilton, Ohio. She was a teacher for 36 years with Latonia Elementary and 10th District Schools, and a member of Decoursey Baptist Church. She was a pianist for the Ball Family, enjoyed songwriting and Southern Gospel music, and was the founder of the Sunnyside Trio. Her brother, Nolan Williams; sisters, Leona Meadors, Lula Stewart and Lorine Rader; and a niece, Wanda Guthrie, died previously. Survivors include her nieces, Jerry Gullett of Berea, Janice Francis, Anna Thompson and Rosalie Castleberry, all of Hamilton, Ohio; and nephew, Ronald Rader of Taylor Mill. Thomas W. Zimmer
Thomas W. Zimmer, 79, of Lakeside Park, died Sept. 17, 2011, at his home. He was dealer principal of Zimmer Chrysler Jeep, after taking over the dealership from his father, Ed Zimmer, in 1958. He was a lifelong member of Blessed Sacrament parish, a member of Knights of Columbus and a U.S. Army Korean War veteran. He enjoyed playing sports and later coached youth leagues. He was a high school football referee for 25 years and a member of Summit Hills Country Club for 54 years. He taught history and started a football program at St. John’s School in Delphos, Ohio. He was elected chairman of the Kentucky Automobile Dealers Association and served on the board of directors. He helped establish the first lemon law in Kentucky and the U-Drive-It tax

Courtney is a 2007 gradu ate of Ryle High School, and will graduate from Cincinnati State this fall. Her husband, James Parrish, died previously. Survivors include her sons, David, James and Kenneth Parrish; daughters, Elizabeth Wayson and Kathryn Runyon; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
