The Business Management program at Amelia High School is a satellite program of Great Oaks Career Campuses. Becky Landen is the instructor. Competitive events enable students to demonstrate careerbased competencies: broaden knowledge, skills, and attitudes; expand leadership and human relations skills; demonstrate a competitive spirit; receive recognition, and earn industry certification.

Mount Notre Dame High School » Eight students have been recognized by the Regional Scholastics Art Awards for their outstanding artwork. The annual competition is the nation’s longest-running, most prestigious recognition initiative for creative students (grades seven-12) and the largest source of scholarships for young artists and writers. The exhibit is judged regionally first with the southwest region being one of the larger and more competitive areas in which to compete. MND students’ pieces were chosen for recognition from more than 5,000 entries locally. Rosie Bacon (Wyoming), Ashley Foulks (Milford) and Mary Scott (Loveland) earned Gold Key recognition for their pieces while Teagan Moravek (Loveland), Holly Reinert (New Richmond) and Lexi Rodgers (Mason) earned Silver Key recognition. Erin Ford (Loveland) and Ali vonErden (West Chester Township) earned honorable mention recognition. Students were mentored by MND faculty members Shelly Brauer, Denise Scharf and Beth Wurzelbacher. “Mount Notre Dame’s Visual Arts Department strives to provide students with a wide range of experiences, such as competitions,” Visual Arts chairperson Brauer said. “Meeting deadlines, preparing art for judging, being chosen for inclusion in a show and having one’s art displayed to the public are all important steps in the journey to becoming a serious artist.” Regional Gold Key projects are being considered for national recognition in New York City. National medalists will be announced Monday, March 14.
