By purchasing a Cifial product, we warrant it is the result of a precise and demanding manufacturing process resulting in a high quality product. With appropriate care and maintenance, Cifial products keep their original appearance for many years. You just need to follow some simple recommendations. For all types of finish we recommend that cleaning be done only with soap and water, or suitable detergents. Never use products containing hydrochloric acid, bleach or other inappropriate products, including toothpastes. Avoid using abrasive pads or scouring pads. To dry the product you should only use rags, cloths or cleaning absorbent paper. For satin metal surfaces apply a little vaseline or wax to help keeping the brightness of surface. Chromed or nickel surfaces The Electrolytic Finishes, currently called galvanic technology are processed with automatic and modern equipment, supported by state-of-the-art waste treatment stations, and taking benefit from more than 35 years of experience. This galvanic electrodeposition gives to the substratum resistance to corrosion through nickel thickness of more than 15 micron, and chromium thickness of more than 0,25 micron. Firstly, it is essential to prepare the surface correctly by grinding robots and CNC polishing machines. Whenever necessary a hand manual touch gives a final personalisation to CIFIAL products. Be aware that all cleaning products generally used for removing paint and concrete are highly corrosive for these surfaces.

Plastic, lacquered and golden surfaces Never use products containing alcohol, ether, acetone or other solvents. The use of any abrasive product will also scratch the surface and cause permanent damage. PVD surfaces It is the top standard in the covering area, and is obtained by a physical vapours deposition of Zirconium, Titanium or other material. This finish increases the hardness and abrasion resistance. The hardness achieved is higher than 2500 Vickers and compared to the traditional electrolytic finishes, PVD increase to more than double their resistance time in the corrosion tests (Corrodkote, Aceptic Salt Spray and Cass Test). The excellent characteristics of this finish result on same colour and brightness for life; high resistance to oxidation by atmospheric agents; higher hardness that result on a higher wear resistance. These surfaces are much more resistant to scratches and keep their brightness for much longer. However, do not use abrasive sponges or any other product containing ceramics as they can damage the surface.
