My name is Terrance “The UnStopABLE Coach” Leftridge. I am an Accountability Coach, International Speaker, Certified Virtual Presenter and Emcee and the host of 2 internet weekly broadcasts. I wasn’t always all of the things I mentioned above. As a matter of fact, for most of my adult life, I was a Criminal that had just not been caught! Now before you call 911 and try to collect some kind of reward, let me explain. You see, I was not living up to the GOD given abilities I received as a gift at birth. If I were to be arrested and forced to stand in front of a judge, I would have been convicted of “Living an Average Life!” You know the life I’m talking about:

Getting Up Going to Work Coming Home Eating dinner Going to bed Getting up the next day. And so on, and so on. Raise your hand if this sounds like your life as well (no one is watching but you). Are you living or are you merely existing? Are you counting the seconds of life when you should be making the seconds count? Could you possibly be committing the same crime I would have been convicted of if I had not made a change in the nick of time?

I have found over the years of learning from my failures as well as my successes that the difference between living an “average” life and living an “UnStopABLE” life simply comes down to 2 things. They are what you are ABLE to do and what you are Willing to do.

The dictionary defines abilities as a talent, skill or proficiency at a particular thing. It also refers to a person who is in possession of a skill or talent. So, when you are in “possession” of a skill or a talent, you own it. Ownership comes with a responsibility on how you use that skill or talent because you become accountable for how you use it.

So how do “UnStopABLE People” account for their abilities? In this article, I will touch on 4 principles I use daily to be accountable for my abilities. These principles help me FOCUS more on what I am ABLE to do and less on what may be STOPPING me from living life to the fullest and walking in my purpose. Get your pen and paper because I am sure these principles will help you as well to be #UnStopABLE

Principle #1- Be Accountable for your ACTIONS

For many years, I ignored my abilities or even denied them. I was slow to develop my abilities in part because I refused to TAKE ACTION in learning what they were. When you’re just existing, it isn’t important to ACT. You just REACT to life as it comes your way.

Reflect on this next story and see if it resonates with anything in your life.

I worked as a Child Advocate for a social service agency for 10 years. In the beginning , I was excited because I thought I was helping kids and families, but I quickly learned I was just pushing papers from one pile to the other. I was not really making a difference or tapping into my GOD given gifts, but the paycheck was good at the time and that was enough for a while.

But then the awakenings in the middle of the night started to occur. Once a week, then 2 or 3 times each week I would be shaken out of my dreams. The dreams would give me “coming attractions “ speaking on stages, giving advice to individuals or talking people thru their problems. As much as I would try to forget them and fall back asleep, those dreams followed me to work and I began to daydream about doing more than I was currently doing. I yearned to help people in a more direct way. I had a VISION of being more, doing more, and having more.
