Starcon Reaches Safety Milestone at Dow Chemical in Freeport, Texas

Congratulations to the Starcon team for achieving seven years with zero OSHA recordables at Dow Chemical in Freeport, Texas. This safety milestone is attributed to our team’s adherence to proven safety processes that have paved Starcon’s Road to Beyond Zero.

Starcon provides several services for the Dow Chemical Freeport site, such as welding, pipefitting, and general mechanical work. When you have that much high-risk work, there are always opportunities for error. Still, through site leadership, team member commitment, involvement in the

safety process, and a site culture that allows for intervention, safety is truly a priority within Starcon. “We are very proud of the Starcon team members at the Dow site,” said Area Operations Manager Julius Lester. “Their commitment to safety over the past seven years meets the highest expectations.”

Starcon is a competitive and longstanding provider for maintenance, capital, and turnaround work. The Starcon team at Dow Chemical Freeport has not had a recordable injury.

As we strive to finish another safe quarter and focus on new goals this year while moving through the pandemic, the team will not rest on their laurels. The team will continue its work to maintain an incident- and injury-free workplace.
