Cianbro Once Again Named One of the Best Places to Work in Maine

Cianbro’s reach extends well beyond its roots in Pittsfield, Maine, with team members working all over the country from Massachusetts to Florida, Maryland, Michigan, and beyond, ensuring we deliver quality outcomes for our clients. When Cianbro was named one of the 2021 Best Places to Work in Maine in September, it’s an honor that goes beyond the Corporate Office in Pittsfield. It is a testament to every team member across the country, who takes pride in their company and the work we all do.

The Society for Human Resource Management - Maine State Council (MESHRM) and Best Companies Group determine the Best Places to Work in Maine through a two-part process. The first part evaluates each nominated company’s workplace policies, practices, and demographics, worth about 25 percent of the total evaluation. The second consists of an anonymous employee survey measuring the employee experience, worth roughly 75 percent. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final rankings within their designated groups.

“As a 100 percent employee-owned company, it’s vital that our team members have a voice,” said Mike Bennett, Vice President for The Cianbro Companies. “We’re always proud when an external organization recognizes the work of our team members, and to have our team members tell the world that they are part of one of the Best Places to Work in Maine, it really reaffirms that we’re doing the right things.”

Over the years, Cianbro has continued to set itself apart as a leader in the industry, creating a culture around teamwork, collaboration, and ultimately developing team members through lifelong learning to help them achieve their career goals.

Cianbro is always seeking new talent regardless of their field of study, current industry, or level of experience.

“Whether you’re a current team member, a retiree, or someone who has an appreciation for Cianbro, if you know someone who would be a good fit with our culture – someone who wants to work for one of the Best Places to Work in Maine – refer them. It might just be the fulfilling career that they’re looking for, even if they have little construction background, but plenty of transferable skills and leadership qualities,” added Bennett.
