CathNews and CathNews Perspectives Media Kit 2011 About CathNews and CathNews Perspectives CathNews is a free daily news service reporting on the latest developments on the Catholic Church in Australia, from the Vatican and from around the world. CathNews thrives as the premiere news service in the Australian Catholic Church today.

The CathNews website is one of the most popular religious websites in Australia. The CathNews website is complemented by a Daily Email of the latest headlines which is received by over 17,000 subscribers from around Australia and abroad. In 2011, we launched a new publication, CathNews Perspectives, which is sent to over 17,000 Subscribers every Friday afternoon, and provides a more in-depth view of the week’s news stories.

Advertising CathNews offers a range of different advertising opportunities to suit your specific needs. These include advertising on the CathNews daily email newsletter, CathNews Perspectives weekly email newsletter, and CathNews website; including job advertising. Advertisements are rotated throughout the website, ensuring that readers are exposed to a different ad on every page they visit. We guarantee 7,500 impressions per week per advertisement position on the website. On the email we can guarantee 5,000 impressions per ad per position*. Hints and tips for placing an advertisement

Church Resources design service

Firstly, look at the CathNews media kit and determine which section of CathNews you would like to place your advertisement. If you are looking to place a job advertisement you have three options:

Church Resources can design the artwork for your advertisement for an additional $150 per advertisement. Please allow seven days for us to prepare your advertisement.

• B anner Advertisement (top position). This requires a designed banner advertisement in the correct specifications (Please see page 3). This advertising position is best for maximum exposure of your advertisement. • P ositions available section. This is the most common option for jobs. A summary of the job position will appear in the CathNews Daily Email, with a link through to the CathNews website jobs page for full details. • J ob listing (Website only). This is a listing just on the CathNews website jobs page and is the most basic option. If you want to place a general advertisement, you have a number of options on both the CathNews Daily Email and the CathNews website. All options require a designed advertisement in the correct specifications (Please see page 3) 1. B anner advertisement (top position) (Daily Email or Website). This is the most common option for general advertisements and is the most effective. Some advertisers put an advertisement on the CathNews Daily Email and CathNews website to maximise their exposure. 2. S quare advertisement (Website Only). this option is only available on the CathNews website and appears within CathNews stories. 3. S kyscraper advertisement (Daily Email or Website).
