Beyond Limits Outdoor Education was establish in 2012 by Uniting Venues SA and provides onsite activities at Adare, Nunyara and Tarooki campsites. In 2016, Beyond Limits expanded to provide programs at Wallaroo / Port Hughes, onsite incursions and expeditions in Deep Creek Conservation Park. The purpose of Beyond Limits is twofold: to provide camp-based programs for school and youth groups through experience based learning as well as to develop the skills and abilities of young Christian leaders through practical and theological training.

Breakaway Youth is a youth support program like no other! We use adventure and under-canvas camping to spend time and connect with disadvantaged young people.

Our teams of Christian volunteers take time to listen and care for these young people with genuine love and empathy. Our unique program allows our volunteers to not only offer guidance but because it’s a long term support program, they are able to journey with these young people through the most defining years of the life.

Crosstalk exists to serve through technical ministry. We work with organisers of Conferences, Conventions and special events to ensure that all the behind the scenes technical support is there, allowing the program to run smoothly.

We can provide audio, video, lighting and recording services for your next event and we are happy to do so in way which suits your needs and your budget. Does your campsite or facility need to update its equipment? Are there things you would love your system to do, but it can’t or won’t? We can help by providing advice and assistance to bring it up to scratch - and yes, we understand the financial constraints within which most places work.

Perhaps you have people on your “tech team” who would benefit from some formal training. We can provide seminars in audio, visual presentations (eg PowerPoint and Pro-Presenter) as well as working as a team. Please feel free to talk to us about all your technical needs: if we can’t help directly, chances are we’ll know someone who can!

In 1883, the Evangelisation Society of Victoria was formed to reach the non-church going population of Victoria. Missions were held across Victoria and `evangelists’ joined the work to proclaim the Gospel. Overseas speakers were invited to join forces with ESA teams, and students from Melbourne Bible Institute (MBI - now known as the Bible College of Victoria (BCV)) were also recruited to assist in the outreach. The work grew as itinerant workers joined the society and concentrated on evangelising country areas of Victoria. ESA joined with other Christian groups (Mildmay Movement, Campaigners for Christ, OAC, missionary candidates and organisations) in united evangelistic efforts. In the early 1950’s a camp committee was formed to organise camps for young people, and at the same time a “Flying Squad” came into operation to hold weekend evangelistic meetings in country areas. A camp committee, today known as the Resource Action Team (R.A.T.) continues to arrange a variety of camps.

Workers continue to share the good news in their areas by teaching CRE classes, speaking in churches, helping youth groups and running camps. In 1993, the name was

changed to ESA Country Ministries and the initials ESA used to describe the kind of ministry we are involved in i.e. Equipping, Serving and Assisting people in Christian outreach with a special focus on country areas.

LOCATION / WHERE WE SERVICE In the past year, ESA has had over 826 attend our camps, we have over 240 volunteer workers and have run 23 camps throughout Victoria. All this work plus the hard work of our staff and volunteers engaging with over 524 local communities every day of the year!

Rise Above is an educational program that focuses on encouraging TEAMWORK, LEADERSHIP, WELLBEING and RESILIENCE for groups of all ages and abilities. Your group will be challenged in problem solving, critical thinking and collaboration to achieve goals led by our trained facilitators. When you choose to stay at a Uniting Venue, why not add a 2-hour Rise Above session to your camp experience? Or invite the Rise Above team to deliver a 2-hour or half day experience at your school, community group or student function.

Southern Cross Kids’ Camps conducts camps for primary aged children who have been subjected to abuse and neglect. We provide a week of happy memories. The kids who attend camp are referred through government and associated agencies. We have very high leader to camper ratio - one adult buddy is responsible for one child, plus there is additional staff on hand. We currently conduct camps in Vic, NSW, Qld & SA.
