Climate change and resources Next 20 years will be transformational for the food, energy and water sectors Balancing the use of food, energy and water resources in the context of climate variability and rapid economic growth will be a challenging task, but the transformation required across all three sectors presents a significant investment opportunity. Progress is already being made, most notably in China’s energy sector, where state-led targets and support are outweighing uncertainty about global climate change policy and potential carbon costs. We expect the super-cycle to amplify resources constraints and precipitate investment in these sectors.
