Safe and Well visit

Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service (CFRS) will be contacting you in the near future to arrange to undertake a Safe & Well visit. Contacting people will be undertaken either by calling on the phone or delivering a Safe and Well calling card asking for you to contact us. The visit will still involve a fire safety education and checking of smoke alarms, however will now include a ‘light touch’ health questionnaire to identify people that could benefit from further support in relation to: Falls Prevention in the home Smoking Cessation assistance Alcohol Reduction Assistance Social Wellbeing CFRS is delivering these Safe and Well visits to help our health partners to help more people live a full and independent life in their own home with some support where needed. This short course is for anyone who would like to learn the art

of felt making or develop skills

they already have. You will learn different techniques associated

with making pieces of felt and 3D felt object, covering the different fibres, processes of wet felting,

needle felting, making 3D vessels and bags, felt flowers and beads

and ‘nuno’ felting. You will make a series of samples and also some

finished pieces to take home and be proud of.
