No-Kill Private institutions display a no-kill status very strategicly. If the number of animals they bring in are reduced, they also reduce the number of euthinizations they perform. The animals they turn away often end up in public shelters that end up needing euthanize to accommodate for the increasing income of animals.

Participant Motivation?
When looking into the interest and rational of adopters reasons for adopting an animal, The data I recieved from my survey of current and previous dog owners showed me that when given a flat out option of adopting an older animal versus a young one, the results showed that people were unlikely to even consider the prospect.

However once the question was broken down into what aspects of the animal attracts the adopter to them, then I was able to conclude that the age of the animal became significantly less when framing them in a more personal or human like light.
Personas Problem Christopher Guercio, 5/01/2022
Look at Me When it comes to discoverability, the older dogs are not even compeeting when it comes to the level of interaction the younger pups get around adoption facilities, and local rescues. Improving the level at which adopters are searching for and identifying with older dogs is the goal of DogWatchers by taking their everyday habits and behaviors and translating that into potential adopters feeds.

Play Time
Rescue Rachel has decided to let Wesley and the other dogs go outside for a round of playing. While this occures, The Dog Watchers system is notified that they are outside and begins to record them playing.
Sharing
Rescue Rachel is taking the media recorded from Wesleys play session and finishes editing it so it will be ready for it to be posted on their social media accounts.
Discover
Adopter Ally After spending hours trying to find the right type of dog that would suit her lifestyle is hindered with information being sparce and spread across multiple sites that are difficult to navigate, when she discovers Dogwatchers and decides to view Wesleys latest play session.
Playdate
After carfully observing Wesleys traits and temperment along with how he interacts with other people and animals through DogWatchers, Adopter Ally decides to set up a playdate with Wesley.
Adopt?
Once Ally has seen enough of what Wesleys behavior is like She ultimately decides to send an addoption request for Wesley to come and live with her.
Agile UX Process Christopher Guercio, 5/01/2022
What was Performed During the Agile UX process, in order to properly develop the tools to design DogWatcher’s with the users needs at the center, I planned out a series of sprints to determine my design process over the course of this project. Week by week I performed Tasks such as Ideation, design fiction revamps, building out sketches, wireframes and eventually producing my High fidelity prototype for DogWatcher’s.

Value Prop: What was Achieved Christopher Guercio, 5/01/2022
Producing a multi device platform for rescue organizations to aide in the adoption of older dogs proved to be both strenuous, and rewarding. Although creating a system that solved every issue wasn’t feasible, deligent research helped produce a mobile prototype to help reduce adoption barriers. The mobile prtotype was made to demonstrate how my user archetypes would be able to more easily interact and discover information about shelter animals they were unable to prior.
Future Work Christopher Guercio, 5/01/2022
When looking at Future work for DogWatchers as of right now, diving deeper into developing aditional methods to increase rescue groups ability to implement these design systems for other types of animals having issues finding their forever homes.
