The Museum of Rural Lancashire Life
Collection of Rural Lancashire OPEN DAY on 17th September 2022

Report by Les Rynhart
On the 17th of September, we had a open day to raise money for the North-west Air Ambulance. We raised a total of £1150.
The weather was great all day. The ice cream van and John the BBQ volunteer were set up. The 1925 Pianola was set up opposite the army vehicles, some of whom had camped from Friday night.

On the other side of the field, was a vintage tractor and a saw bench log cutter display. Two large stationary engines, belonging to Carl Hargreaves, were also in the field.
In the yard, were working stationary engines and an array of cars. A Ukulele band, and a group playing 1960s music kept people entertained.

My thanks go out to all the volunteers who helped on the day, and all the exhibitors and all the people who attended the Open Day.
Our next open day is Saturday the 15th of April. We have not picked the charity we are raising funds for in April as yet.
