Skhakh – Sukkah Roofing Material
It’s not too early to start planning for the High Holy Days, which begin this year with Erev Rosh HaShanah on Wednesday, September 4. Once again, Chizuk Amuno’s landscaper will be available to trim your white pine trees at no charge in August. The trimmings will be used as skhakh for Chizuk Amuno’s Attman Family Sukkah. Please call the synagogue office for more information or to arrange for trimming.

Suzanne F. Cohen, for being inducted into the Baltimore Jewish Hall of Fame at the JCC. Judy Meltzer, on presenting a talk on “The Gripes of Roth: Philip Roth and the Meaning of (Jewish) Life” at the 8th International Melton Alumni Association Kallah. Maya Smith (KSDS ’03), on receiving the Nurse of the Year Award from University of Miami Hospital. She is the youngest recipient of the award in the hospital’s history.
