However, if you often feel fear or anxiety, this can present a problem. The symptoms of anxiety disorder can come in many guises. At times, an incident in your life might trigger an anxiety attack. At other times, the feelings will just appear without warning and for reasons you can't explain. In this article we'll be discussing some of the more common symptoms of anxiety. Headaches can be caused by many things, but sometimes they're a result of stress or anxiety. It is likely that a headache is caused by stress if it feels like you are wearing a tight headband and you have pressure around your head. Even migraine headaches, perhaps the most painful kind of all, can be caused by emotional factors such as stress and anxiety. Its also known that eyestrain can be caused by anxiety. Your emotional state can pay a large part in getting eyestrain, even though you may see it as spending too much time in front of the computer. You should relax if you want to reduce this problem, simply look away from the screen every so often. Try to release any tension you feel in your head, eyes or any other part of your body when you become aware of it.

One of the most disturbing symptoms of anxiety is the anxiety or panic attack. This is experienced as

a sudden feeling of panic, loss of control or a sense that you're losing your mind or sanity. Being nervous, so much so that you hyperventilate, is not healthy and you should seek medical attention if this is happening. Panic attacks can sometimes be averted by doing deep breathing exercises that can change your emotional state. Panic attacks may be brought on in certain situations, or they may occur for no apparent reason. Once you start experiencing panic attacks, make sure that you find a way to get to your doctor to handle these situations. Therapy and medication are usually used in combination to handle panic attacks. Of course, these are extreme examples, though anxiety can exist with anyone.

Tension levels can definitely be high, causing anxiety, if your physical body is full of tension. This can result in a variety of physical symptoms, from headaches to the condition known as TMJ. Stress and anxiety are definitely part of the overall picture in regard to why TMJ and other anxiety symptoms arise. Teeth grinding, and having a stiff neck when you wake up, are part of the byproducts of having TMJ due to stress. If actual damage to the jaw has occurred, you may need to see a dentist who specializes in this type of issue. You might be lucky and only have mild anxiety symptoms, but they can also be quite severe. The best course of action is to consult with your health care provider for treatment if your anxiety has been ongoing for a long time. If you research anxiety disorders online or in the bookstore, you will find a lot of viable self-help methods that you can try. Sometimes, however, the only solution for relief is to get professional help.
