As Luck Would Have It ANETA AND SAHIL AGGARWAL, DONALD E. STEPHENS CONVENTION CENTER WRITTEN BY JEANNE SULLIVAN | PHOTOGRAPHY BY PHOTOGRAPHIKA1

Friday the 13th is known for being an unlucky day, but not for Sahil and Aneta Aggarwal. Fate brought them both to the same grocery store, where Aneta was looking for the perfect apple. What she found was the perfect man. Sahil canceled his plans with friends and asked Aneta to join him for an apple crumble cake dessert. “That was just the beginning of their fairytale.” “Guests traveled from near and far to attend the wedding of a lifetime.” An international-themed Mehndi Night started the celebration with food stations and dance from around the world. “The Mehndi Night was a surprise – no one would tell me anything. The Indian culture is so bold and colorful, so different from my allwhite wedding,” says Aneta. The next day, with 900 guests in attendance, Sahil and Aneta were married. “As soon as I saw Aneta coming down the aisle, all I could see was how beautiful she looked,” says Sahil. A romantic horsedrawn carriage whisked them away from the ceremony. The following day, Aneta and Sahil had a traditional Hindu wedding ceremony, complete with an elephant for the groom to ride during the Baraat. “I was feeling so many emotions at once. Ever since I was a little girl I dreamt of my wedding, and the reality surpassed my dreams,” says the bride. Family and friends enjoyed an extraordinary reception in which an ice bar and laser light show were featured. “No details were left untouched to bring the weekend to a larger than life finish.”
