2. Getting Started
To Download the App 1.
Go to the App Store on your iPad.

Use the search bar to search for “CHIPS Blend Design Tool” which will quickly locate the app.

“INSTALL” the app on your iPad.

3. Using the Blend Menu
To Open the Blend Menu Open the App on your iPad 1.
The default screen will load after a brief introductory page.

Click on the dotted circle on the far right to load the blend menu.

4. Customizing Colors for your Blends
To Select Sizes & Colors 1.
Select the size of CHIPS you would like to blend using the slider bar near the top of the menu. (Sizes available go from 1/16 inch CHIPS to 1 inch CHIPS.)

Select the colors you would like to blend by tapping on the color swatches.
3.
You may add color by clicking on the blue plus symbol near the bottom of the menu.

Click “UPDATE” at the top of the menu to load your new blend after changing any of the components.

5. Locking in Colors & Saving Blends To Lock Colors & Save Blends 1.
Vary the percentage of each color using the arrows to the right and left of where the percentage of color is displayed.
*Remember to increase the percentage of each new color in order to include it in your new blend.

You may lock in the percentage of each color you choose by clicking on the lock symbol to the far right of each color.

Click “UPDATE” at the top of the menu to load your new blend after changing any of the components.

To save a custom blend, click on the “SAVE” button in the bottom menu. You can then name your custom blend and load it at a later time.

6. Loading Custom & Popular Blends To Load Blends 1.
The CHIPS Blend Design Tool comes pre-loaded with popular blends which are denoted by a letter followed by numbers (example: B25-044). These are also found in the LOAD menu.

To load a custom blend, click on the “LOAD button” in the bottom menu then scroll to the bottom of the list to find your custom CHIPS blends.

Once you have selected the blend you would like, click the “UPDATE” button to load that blend.

7. Virtual Environments To View Virtual Environments 1.
Use the menu at the top of the screen to select the virtual environments in which you can view your custom blend. Virtual environments include an office, garage, hospital, and grocery store.

The office and garage environments allow the viewer to pan around the virtual space.
3.
The office, garage and hospital settings also allow the user to customize paint color for the virtual walls to help visualize their design concept with custom blends. Click on the wall color selector button then select your paint color from the color pallete.

8. Placing an Order To Place an Order 1.
Remember to save your custom blend before ordering. If you forget to do so, the app will prompt you.
2.
To place an order, click on the blend menu button at the right of the screen.
3.
Click on “ORDER” in the bottom right corner of blend menu.
4.
Fill out the order form with your information.
5.
Click on the large gray “ORDER” button located on the order form screen to send your order directly to Chips Unlimited, Inc. via email. Chips Unlimited, Inc. will verify each order placed through the app.
