Adler Ortho srl è il ramo commerciale di un gruppo privato di società che si occupano della progettazione, produzione e commercializzazione di protesi articolari ed altri prodotti medicali nell’ambito ortopedico.
Adler Ortho is the commercial Branch of a privately owned Company specialized in designing, manufacturing and selling Prosthetic Joints and other Products in the Orthpaedic field.
L’attività della società inizia nel 2004. Si tratta quindi di un’azienda giovane, ma con solide e profonde fondamenta che nasce infatti dall’associazione di un gruppo di managers con una lunga esperienza del mercato ortopedico Italiano ed Internazionale.
The Company started operating in 2004. So Adler Ortho is a young Company. However it has strong and deep roots, as it was created by the association of managers with a very long experience in the Italian as well as International Orthopaedic Market.
Alcuni membri del gruppo direttivo hanno, nelle loro passate esperienze, lanciato importanti innovazioni tecnologiche nel mercato ortopedico Internazionale.
Some of the board members during their past experiences did launch important innovative technologies in the International Orthopaedic market.
Esempi importanti sono l’introduzione dei colli modulari nella protesica d’anca, il cui brevetto originale risale al 1987, e la produzione e commercializzazione (su licenza dell’Hospital for Special Surgery di New York) nel mercato Europeo di una delle prime protesi di ginocchio moderne, la protesi IB II.
Examples are the introduction of modular necks for total Hip implants, the original patent is dated back to 1987, and the production and commercialization (under License of the Hospital for Special Surgery, New York) in the European market of one of the first modern total knee implants, the IB II Prosthesis.

Ala Ortho rappresenta l’unità di ricerca, sviluppo, progettazione e produzione del gruppo Adler. Si tratta di una realtà produttiva di estrema avanguardia tecnica dotata di avanzatissima tecnologie di progettazione e produzione.
L’intera produzione è eseguita con macchine a controllo numerico di ultimissima generazione, completamente integrate con la divisione di ricerca e sviluppo incaricata della progettazione di tutti i prodotti. Ciò permette di minimizzare qualunque possibilità di errore umano e garantisce una grande flessibilità produttiva e reattività alle esigenze del mercato.
Within the Adler Group, Ala Ortho is the branch in charge of Research, development, design and manufacturing. It’s a state of the art manufacturing unit equipped of highly advanced design and production technologies.
The whole production is performed with latest generation tooling machines, that are fully integrated with the Research & Development department in charge of designing all products. In this way chances for human mistakes are minimized and at the same time it’s delivered the highest degree of flexibility and speed to answer market needs.
Il dipartimento di ricerca e sviluppo è costituito da un gruppo di ingegneri giovani ed entusiasti. Questo, accoppiato al notevole know-how accumulato negli anni dal Gruppo dirigente, permette di coniugare l’innovazione avanzata con la conoscenza di quanto veramente può servire ad aiutare i chirurghi nella loro attività quotidiana ed i pazienti a riacquistare nel modo più veloce e completo possibile la loro mobilità.
The Research & Development department is composed by a group of young and enthusiastic engineers. This is coupled with the high degree of experience that the Management Group built through the years, and It allows to pair the aim for advanced innovation together with the knowledge of what could really help surgeons in their daily activity as well as patients to regain their mobility in the fastest and better way possible.

Sistema di colli modulari “Modula”. Rappresenta l’ultimo sviluppo dell’originale idea dei colli modulari. Si tratta del sistema attualmente più completo ed accurato per restaurare l’anatomia dei pazienti bisognosi di rimpiazzo dell’articolazione dell’anca. Infatti il sistema Modula offre al chirurgo la più ampia ed accurata scelta di opzioni onde ripristinare il corretto offset, copertura antero/posteriore e lunghezza dell’articolazione da operare.

L’intero processo costruttivo dei colli mobili Modula è eseguito in azienda con macchine a controllo numerico dedicate. Le tolleranze dei coni morse di accoppiamento degli steli femorali e dei colli modulari sono particolarmente controllate. Il 100% dei pezzi prodotti è verificato con strettissimi criteri qualitativi utilizzando strumentazione dell’ultimissima generazione.
The entire Modula Modular necks manufacturing process is made in-house using specially set Computer guided tooling machines. We devote particular care to control the tolerances of the femoral stems and modular necks coupling morse tapers. 100% of the production is checked applying very strict quality standards using the latest generation instruments.

Tecnologia delle PolverI Inizialmente ideato per applicazioni aereospaziali e per la realizzazione di prototipi, Si tratta di un sistema assolutamente innovativo ed originale per produrre protesi ortopediche. L’impianto viene costruito per sottilissimi strati successivi di pochi micron ciascuno grazie alla deposizione di finissime polveri metalliche (es.: lega di Titanio) che vengono fuse da un fascio di elettroni. Adler Ortho è stata la prima azienda al mondo ad utilizzare questa tecnologia in ortopedia ed a trasformare il processo Fabbricazione con Polveri per la realizzazione di prototipi in un sistema industriale realizzando produzioni in serie di impianti protesici.
POWDER technology. It’s a totally innovative and original system to manufacture Orthopaedic implants, originally developed for aereo-spatial applications and for prototypes manufacturing. The implant is built through the deposition one on the top of the other of few microns tin layers of metal powders (i.e.: Titanium) that are melted by a Beam of Electrons . Adler Ortho has been the first Company in the World to use that technology for Orthopaedic applications and to transform the Powder Manufacturing prototyping process into an industrial system to produce Prosthetic implants.

Tecnologia delle Polveri permette di costruire in modo assolutamente accurato strutture tridimensionali impossibili da ottenere con le tradizionali tecniche di produzione meccanica.
Powder Technology allows the building of extremely accurate tridimensional structures otherwise impossible to get using the traditional mechanical manufacturing techniques.
Con questa tecnica produttiva si possono inoltre produrre strumenti e prototipi in modo assolutamente flessibile, ma al contempo relativamente veloce ed economico.
Employing this Technology we can also produce instruments and implants prototypes in a very flexible, but at the same time relatively fast and economic way
Il primo risultato pratico della Tecnologia delle Polveri e’ stato lo sviluppo del Ti-Por. Si tratta di una superficie porosa aperta tridimensionale assolutamente innovativa.
The first practical result of the Powder Technology it has been the development of Ti-Por. It’s an absolutely innovative tridimensional open porous surface.
il Ti-Por, grazie alla sua alta rugosità, fornisce alle protesi non cementate una stabilità primaria enormemente più elevata rispetto alle ricoperture tradizionali. Inoltre il Ti-Por, non essendo un coating, ma essendo costruito assieme all’impianto stesso fornisce una resistenza allo sfaldamento assolutamente superiore rispetto ai sistemi di porous coating o di plasma spray normalmente utilizzati per le protesi ortopediche.
Ti-Por, thanks to its high roughness, provides Uncemented Implants with a primary stability much higher than standard coating. Ti-Por also, as it’s not a coating added to the implant, but instead it’s built in one piece together with the implant itself, provides a resistance to delamination much higher when compared with the porous or plasma spray coating systems normally used for Orthopaedic Systems.
