Chairman of the governors mr Clive de Boer, Head Boy Joseph Chappell, Head of School Sophie Halls, guest of honour mr Stefan golaszewski and Headmaster mr michael Punt.
Despite the wet weather, Speech Day was a huge success. the preacher this year was the revd Dr James gardom, Dean of Pembroke College, Cambridge and the guest of honour was old Chigwellian mr Stefan golaszewski. Stefan was at School from 1991 to 1999 and he is now a very successful and creative scriptwriter. He made an inspiring speech, much enjoyed by many parents and pupils alike. mr Clive de Boer announced at Speech Day that he will be retiring as Chair of governors in november. He has been governor since 1995 and Chairman since 1999, and during that time the School has developed enormously. He will be succeeded by mrs Susannah Aliker.
