GAME ON!
CH IC AGO - K E NT GAM E ROOM
Furnished with a pool table, ping pong, shuffle board, air hockey, foosball, and electronic games, the Chicago-Kent Game Room was a hit with students the minute it opened in a converted, fifth-floor classroom in 2014. Funded by the Classes of 2011 and 2014, the Game Room is open all day every day for class breaks, study breaks, and after-school or weekend get-togethers.

I’m still amazed that the building was substantially completed in less than two years. We broke ground in April 1990 and started moving in December 1991. Holabird & Root designed our wonderful facility, Powell/ Kleinschmidt handled the interior design, and Power Contracting served as the general contractors, overseeing a host of subcontractors who actually managed to meet the deadline set for us to begin classes at the Downtown Campus in January 1992. A flamenco dancer was among the featured entertainers at the April 1992 dedication of the new home for the Library of International Relations.
