I give credit to all of you, our supporters and partners, for building up this school. Your generosity demonstrates that the West Side of Chicago deserves a community like Hope.

We are here, we are Hope, and we are a part of the solution. We must invest in this community because the grass is not greener on the other side the grass is greener where we water it

I will be praying for your families and I ask that you pray for the safety of our students. And that their light will shine in the darkness and their joy will be found in the Lord

New year same mission

I identified with our 2023 graduates because their four years at Hope marked my first four years as Principal.

Covid-19 shocked us all in our first year at Hope, but a sense of humor kept our spirits high through quarantines, distance learning, masks in schools, and our return to ‘normal.’ Throughout these four years, we pursued our academic goals, served others like Jesus did, and had fun doing it

In a graduating class of servant leaders, class clowns, formidable athletes, and soft spoken writers –no one was alone A phrase I speak frequently to our community goes: “At Hope we are kind, we are caring, and we look for lonely people. That is the strength of our school ” Hope's essence is loving each other well. You can’t measure the sense of belonging at Hope, but you can feel it. It’s revealed through smiles and forgiveness, detected in greetings and attitudes, and actualized in prayer and affirmations.

Hope's essence is loving each other well.

As Principal, my responsibility has been to guide our staff, love the students, understand our families, and value their dreams. As President, my duty is to passionately affirm our partners in the belief that Hope is a school that the city of Chicago cannot afford to lose.
